The process of replacing the wood furnaces involved skilled trades.
Floor, stairs must be protected is finish in order to remove the old furnace and to move the new one in. Sometimes we dissemble the furnace on side and use the picker truck to move the units in and out.
Walls where the chimney must be opened in order to extract the old chimney out and the new one in.
We usually recycle the dry wall cut. Small finishing work is involved. Access to attic is mandatory in order to access the chimney and to install the radiation shield.
Then, I have been working with James from Anchor Mechanical who does all of the hook-up replacement for the furnace. Same with the sheet metal work. New plenum is necessary and sometimes we recommend to upgrade the gas propane and or the electric furnace if it is not already done.
Matthias from Mi Electric ltd. does the power hook-up to both furnaces.
Chimney Expert will come back for:
1-The final hook-up and fire test.
2- Then, Chimney Expert come back twice more for fire test 3-Finally we take time training the customer with their new products until they are comfortable.
